Standards Tumble Dryer - TNG1041

The TNG1041 Standards Tumble Dryer is used to assess the impact of drying procedures on textile colour fastness as specified in ISO 6330 and GB/T 8629. The instrument operates by tumble-drying test samples under controlled conditions, replicating typical household drying environments. The front-loading, horizontal drum design ensures uniform exposure of textiles to heat and airflow. The drum, made of high-quality stainless steel, is φ58cm±1cm in diameter with a volume of 100L. Three lift sheets are positioned at 120° intervals to facilitate even distribution of test samples. The dryer is rated for a drying capacity of 5kg and features an air outlet temperature of less than 70°C. It supports automatic control of dry-time, temperature, and cool time settings. The unit is powered by 220/110 V at 50/60 Hz. The TNG1041 is suitable for testing materials such as fabrics, textiles, and garments that undergo drying procedures as part of standardised textile testing protocols.

Application Scope The new standard of GB/T 8629-2017 was put into effect on December 1th 2017, replacing the old standard of GB/T 8629-2001. New standard and old standard apply to household washing and drying of textile fabrics, clothing or other textile products. Compared with the old standard, the new standard has the following changes: three washing programs for type A washing machine and seven washing programs for type C washing machine are added. When the washing process is finished, the new standard adjusts the temperature of the air outlet during drying, which is 10℃ higher than the old standard.
