Rubbing Fastness (Gakushin) Tester - TNG1012

The TNG1012 Rubbing Fastness Tester is designed to measure a material’s resistance to rubbing motion, following JIS L 0849 type Ⅱ standards. The machine features a six-station benchtop configuration, allowing simultaneous testing of multiple samples. It includes clamps for securing test samples to a moving platen and clamps for attaching a weighted rubbing arm with test material. The rubbing arm is counterbalanced to offset its weight, ensuring consistent application of force during testing. The device applies a pressure of 2N on the rubbing finger and operates at a travel speed of 30 cycles per minute with a travel length of 100 mm. Test samples, which are typically 220 x 30 mm in size, are visually evaluated after the test. The machine is equipped with a cycle counter that automatically stops the test after reaching the set number of cycles, ranging from 1 to 999,999. The unit has dimensions of 510 mm in length, 430 mm in width, and 490 mm in height. It is suitable for both dry and wet rubbing tests and includes two sets of test heads (6 heads each set) with weights of 200g and 500g, along with a complete set of weights (6 each) of 100g, 300g, 400g, and 800g.
