Product overview

The TNG1045 Impact Penetration Tester is designed to evaluate the resistance of fabrics to water penetration under impact conditions. The instrument simulates rain penetration by directing a controlled volume of water at a fabric sample. The test determines how well the fabric resists water penetration, which can indicate its performance in real-world rain exposure. The device is suitable for testing both garment fabrics and medical protective clothing. The test follows AATCC 42 standard. The spray head has a diameter of 56 mm with a 1 mm hole, and the distance from the spray head to the specimen center is 600 mm. The test uses 500 ml of water, and the clamp width is 152 mm. The TNG1045 provides a reliable method for assessing water resistance through impact penetration.

Application

Impact Penetration Tester, is to determine the resistance of fabric to the penetration of water by impact, and thus can be used to predict the probable resistance of fabrics to rain penetration.

It is especially suitable for measuring the penetration resistance of garment fabrics, and also used to test the Water Resistance(Impact Penetration test) performance of medical protective clothing.

Test method notes

Definitions of Waterproofing and Water Permeability of Fabrics In daily life, people often contact with water, which put forward waterproof requirements for all kinds of textile. The waterproof and permeable properties are two sides in one property of the fabric, which refers to the resistance to water wetting and permeation by the water of the fabrics. The Testing Categories of Fabric Waterproofing The main indexes of the fabric waterproof are dip water grade, hydrostatic pressure resistance grade, and water permeation capacity, and there are two kinds of test methods: spray method and hydrostatic pressure method. In order to measure the water permeability or waterproofing of fabrics, different methods are used depending on the actual use of the fabric, and the corresponding indexes are used to express the water permeability of fabrics.
