Face Mask Synthetic Blood Penetration Tester - TNG1044

The TNG1044 Face Mask Synthetic Blood Penetration Tester is designed to assess the ability of medical face masks and other coated materials to resist penetration by synthetic blood splashes. The instrument simulates a blood splash by spraying a fixed volume of synthetic blood horizontally at a specified distance. The synthetic blood has a surface tension of 0.042 ± 0.002 N/m and is delivered through a nozzle with an inner diameter of 0.84 mm and a length of 12.7 mm. The spraying speed and time can be adjusted to meet different testing requirements, with options including 450 cm/s, 550 cm/s, and 635 cm/s, along with corresponding spraying times of 0.80 s, 0.66 s, and 0.57 s. The device supports testing according to ASTM F1862, ASTM F2100, EN 14683, and ISO 22609. The test specimen is mounted on the sample clamping device, and the penetration is visually inspected after the spraying process. The instrument operates on 220 V, 50 Hz, and consumes 50 W of power.

Synthetic blood penetration tester, is used for measuring the resistance of medical face masks and other coated materials to the penetration by a splash of synthetic blood at different pressures, it can conduct the tests of standards like ISO 22609, EN 14683, ASTM F1862, ASTM F2100.

A specimen of medical face mask is mounted on this synthetic penetration tester’s sample clamping device, a fixed volume (~ 2ml) synthetic blood is splashed by this tester horizontally to hit the mask, at the distance of (300 ± 10) mm, then check whether penetration happens in the specimen.

This tester can provide different blood pressures with the control of precise valve to generate a 2ml volume of synthetic blood with the surface tension of 0.042 ± 0.002 N/m, it will give you reliable and repeatable test results.
